HBA Media have partnered with The Stronach Group to distribute international media rights to the Pegasus World Cup Invitational to be held January 27, 2018, at The Stronach Group’s premier Florida destination, Gulfstream Park, in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
The Pegasus World Cup Invitational is the vision of The Stronach Group founder, Frank Stronach, and is a bold, new entertainment event that has captured global attention as it leads North American Thoroughbred horse racing back into the spotlight. By creating the world’s richest race, The Stronach Group aims to attract the best horses and owners from around the world, in turn offering fans a chance to experience horse racing like never before.
The Pegasus World Cup Invitational is open to twelve domestic and international owners who will put in $1 million USD each for a spot in the starting gate. An additional $4 million USD will be contributed by The Stronach Group, raising its inaugural $12 million USD purse to an incredible $16 million USD in 2018.
“The Stronach Group is thrilled to be partnering with HBA Media once again to bring the Pegasus World Cup Invitational to an international audience,” said Belinda Stronach, Chairman and President of The Stronach Group. “The inaugural year was an exciting moment, and we are building on that momentum so viewers can expect an unforgettable entertainment experience.”
