5th November 2020 - One of the world’s most famous horseracing events – the Breeders’ Cup – has once again secured a widespread global audience, courtesy of HBA Media, the preeminent media rights agency that specialises in global distribution and production of top-class horseracing.
The NBC-produced six-hour broadcast starts tomorrow on Friday, November 6th and concludes Saturday, 7th November and includes a nine-racecard featuring the $6 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic and the $4 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf.
The behind-closed-doors raceday will be shown by multiple international networks across 115 territories, including Eurosport India, pan-regional African broadcaster SuperSport (Africa), Match TV (Russia) plus a host of new European channels – Polsat (Poland), Movistar (Spain), Sport Deutschland (Germany), beIN SPORTS (Turkey) and SilkNet (Georgia.)
Sky Sports Racing will broadcast the full Breeders’ Cup weekend, incorporating all races from the two-day meeting, to reinforce their position as the UK’s home of international horseracing. Coverage will be supported by an engaging digital campaign to provide the UK and Irish audience with all the latest news on the leading contenders and trackside action.
Other major networks showcasing the entire raceday include TSN (Canada), Racing.com (Australia); DMI (Dubai) and ADM (Abu Dhabi), which serve the Middle East. Forty-seven countries in Africa will have access to the Breeders’ Cup via SuperSport. ESPN will cater for the Latin American and Caribbean audiences - complemented by SportsMax who will provide the event with additional coverage.
The full broadcaster schedule also includes global coverage in Japan via The Green Channel and China with Beijing TV, Wuhan TV and Shanghai TV.
Key races will be widely available to news outlets across the world through SNTV, Reuters and Inverleigh.

In a year that has been anything but normal, the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland Racecourse has successfully secured 201 pre-entered horses for this year’s event, with 39 making the trip from outside North America.
The feature contest – Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (1m2f) - has attracted a 10-runner field in which Tiz the Law trained by Barclay Tagg heads the betting market having enjoyed a dream season throughout much of 2020. Improbable, Authentic and Maximum Security form a strong contingent for trainer Bob Baffert, who is seeking his fourth Classic win.
